We're having a birthday!

We have officially made it through our first year and we are going to celebrate!!! Join us at one of our favorite neighborhood bars, 61 Local on Nov 6th from 7pm to officially kick off our NYC Cider Week with our anniversary party and a mini tap take over!!

We are also launching our fourth official cider (not counting our collaborations and Hop Experiments) as part of the celebration so come down to get a first taste of that! 

Thanks to everyone for such a great first year! We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to many more years of making New York CIty cider here in NYC. Cheers!!

Harvest is always a busy time for cider makers and for us it has been particularly busy this year as we decided to start a Community Cider making project upstate in North Branch, Sullivan County, NY.  We've been collecting apples all over Sullivan County and we will be making a special batch of cider to make available to our apple donators and a limited release that will be available in the Fall.  

Here are a couple of shots of some of the natural beauty we stumbled across during our harvest adventures 2015.

On Friday 21st August we will be launching our first vintage cider quite simply called "Dry" . This 2014 harvest cider is a blend of new world, heritage variety apples including Winesap and Northern Spy. It's our cider makers favorite cider to make as it's quality is derived from fruit selection, yeast characteristics and the patience of many months of aging before bottling. Hand Crafted in small batches.

To celebrate we will be teaming up with the amazing team at Wassail on the Lower East Side to celebrate with lots of delicious cider.  Party starts at 8pm.  We look forward to seeing you there!

As neighbors and patrons, we were delighted to be invited to create a special cider with Jon Tannen over at Bar Great Harry (BGH) for their 8th Anniversary celebrating the heritage of the Italian influence of Carroll Gdns.  The cider that was developed was hopped with a hint of marjoram - and it is delicious! 

The hopped cider is going to be served at all of the BGH family of bar's over the next few weeks, so stop by at BGH, The Owl Farm , Mission Delores or Glorietta Baldy for a taste!  Other bar's you might be lucky enough to snag a pint soon include Covenhoven, Proletariate and Pine Box Rock Shop.

The Anniversary party was amazing and we celebrated along with the amazing brewer's Anthony & Rob of Transmitter, who created a special collaboration beer for the anniversary.  We also indulged in some very special beers, notably the Cantillion and CBS.
